“Hello Stranger” Added to MBC’s Regular Program Lineup

MBC’s new variety program “Hello Stranger,” which aired its pilot episode as a Chuseok special on September 8, has officially been picked up for the broadcast station’s regular program lineup.

On September 15, a representative of MBC revealed, “‘Hello Stranger’ has been confirmed for regular programming with the help of positive reviews [from viewers]. We are aiming to start broadcasting in October, but we are fine-tuning the exact broadcast period and time.”

“Hello Stranger” is a reality variety program that shows a group of foreigners living together in a guest house in Korea, as they experience Korean culture. The MC position was given to actor Kim Kwang Gyu, and the guests included Fabian from “I Live Alone,” GOT7’s Jackson, as well as nine other foreigners living in Korea.

The show received a great response and recorded a nationwide viewer rating of 7.4%, reaching seventh place out of all the Chuseok specials.

While Kim Kwang Gyu will continue as the host of “Hello Stranger,” the official cast lineup has not yet been finalized.
