2PM, SISTAR, Girl's Day, And Other Idols Gather in 17-Day

Aside from Asia’s top athletes who will be gathering for the 17th Incheon Asian Games, the city of Incheon will also welcome a good number of top singers as it holds the 17-day long “K-Pop Expo in Asia.”

According to the organizers of the K-Pop Expo, the 17-day event will be held from September 19 until October 5, the same period as the Incheon Asian Games.

The opening ceremony on September 19 will feature stages by Secret, 2PM, Girl’s Day, Boyfriend, MBLAQ, BTOB, SISTAR, Rainbow, BTS, Kara, Teen Top, ZE:A, Block B, 2AM, GOT7, Ailee, EXID, and other artists.

With the theme of “A World Where Hearts Communicate,” the concert which will be held in four stages will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will feature performances from different countries until 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the expo will feature DJs who will spin music until 5 a.m.

One stage will feature K-pop and rock stages while stages 2, 3, and 4 will have hip-hop, b-boy, trot, songs from ’70s and ’80s, ballad, club party music, and even a star audition. Aside from the exhibit that will showcase the past 100 years of Korean music including K-pop, there will also be promotions for the cultures of the 43 countries participating in the Asian Games.
