T-ara’s Jiyeon Absent from “Music Core” Recording, Revealed to Have Been in Hospital

On September 27, T-ara’s agency revealed the reason why Jiyeon was unable to perform with the rest of the group during the recent recording for MBC’s “Show! Music Core” after fans showed concern for her absence from the stage.

Following the show’s filming, Core Contents Media posted a message through T-ara’s official Facebook: “First, we would like to thank all of the fans who attended ‘Music Core’s Incheon Airport Festival’ special. Just before the ‘Music Core’ recording today, T-ara member Jiyeon was unable to go on stage due to acute indigestion. Her physical condition wasn’t good enough to perform, so she couldn’t join you all.”

The agency further explained, “Jiyeon has been taken to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment. We apologize for causing worry to all of the fans. She will try to recover quickly to be able to show you a better performance.”

Earlier on this day, the ‘2014 Incheon Sky Festival’ took place in front of the Incheon International Airport, which is also where the “Music Core” special performances were filmed.

Meanwhile, this special will air on October 4, and other performers include Super Junior, 2PM, KARA, SISTAR, Ailee, Block B, and more.
