CNN Visits Set of “My Lovely Girl” To Find Out Reasons for K-Dramas’ Success
CNN has recently visited the filming set of the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama “My Lovely Girl” for its “On the Road” segment.
Uploaded on CNN’s official YouTube channel on September 30, the feature by reporter Paula Newton showed a glimpse of the filming location of “My Lovely Girl” through the help of SBS Drama Production’s Kim Yeongseop. The reporter also found out more about why Korean dramas are so popular among the international audience especially in Asia.
According to OSEN, CNN’s Paula Newton stayed at the filming location for about three hours to observe and interviewed the drama’s lead actor Rain for almost one hour.
A representative from SBS said that during the interview, CNN reporter Paula Newton showed great interest in the drama. “CNN was curious about why Korean dramas receive a lot of popularity and love in the Asian region. She also asked Rain about why (Korean dramas) are so appealing to its viewers,” said the representative.
