Soyou Talks about Her Voice and Her Ambitions for Music

Soyou of girl group Sistar talked about her solo activities in a recent interview with Yonhap News.

Soyou has been extremely successful in her collaboration projects with various talented underground artists like Geeks, Junggigo, Mad Clown, and most recently, Urban Zakapa.

She spoke of her success very humbly. “Since my voice isn’t very unique, it goes well with many kinds of voices. I think my voice is good for supporting other voices in duets and featurings.”

Soyou also talked about her ambitions in music. “While working on ‘X Project,’ I think I became more greedy for music. Now I think about the music I want the audience to hear, music that will be visually pleasing, and music I want to do… It’s endless, once you become greedy.”
