JYP Entertainment to Hold US and Canada Auditions

Talent agency JYP Entertainment has announced that it is to hold a North American audition, called the “2014 JYP US Tour Audition.” Hopefuls will be able to attend events held on November 8 in Los Angeles and November 15 in Toronto, Canada.

The company has said that participants can apply online via a website. Although applicants of all nationalities have been invited to join, JYP has stipulated that it will only accept applicants born between 1990 and 2003.

Applicants are also asked to choose which category they would like to apply for. Categories include: singing, acting, modelling, dancing and presenting. The winner of the new project will be offered the chance to join the JYP training program.

A representative for the agency explained, “We held a similar audition program in Korea in August this year. It was the 11th of its sort. We will now hold the North American event. We are expecting a lot of young, talented people to apply.”

JYP has enjoyed much success in the past with its audition programs, recruiting the likes of 2PM’s Taecyeon and Nichkhun, as well as Mark of GOT7.
