Shim Eun Kyung Apologizes for Casting Controversies Surrounding

At the recent press conference for “Tomorrow Cantabile” held on October 8, actress Shim Eun Kyung apologized for the casting controversies surrounding “Tomorrow Cantabile.”

Initially, during the casting process for the drama, Shim Eun Kyung had turned down the role due to scheduling conflicts with a film. However, as the film schedule was pushed back, she ultimately ended up taking the role, which caused netizens to question whether she was playing hard to get for the role.

Shim Eun Kyung said, “I do not consider it ‘playing hard to get.’ I had been preparing for the movie ‘Waiting for You,’ and as I confirmed for that film, the schedule conflicted with ‘Tomorrow Cantabile,’ so I declined the drama.”

“I really wanted to do ‘Tomorrow Cantabile,’ and as my film schedule got pushed back, I immediately decided to take the role. It’s simply that there were changes in the situation on both sides, not that I was playing hard to get to push my casting for the drama. I feel like the situation is my fault, and I’m very sorry,” the actress continued.

“Tomorrow Cantabile,” based on Japan’s “Nodame Cantabile,” is set to air its first episode on October 13, taking over the airtime for “Discovery of Love.”
