'Dad! Where Are We Going?' Gets International Emmy Kids Award Nomination

The family-oriented MBC variety show Dad! Where Are We Going?” has been nominated at the Third International Emmy Kids Awards in the US.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal on October 14, the MBC variety show is nominated for the “Non-scripted Entertainment” category of the Third International Emmy Kids Awards and the ceremony will be held in New York on February 20, 2015.

Other nominees in the category include “A Hero on Tuesdays” from Germany, “Let’s Get Inventin‘” from New Zealand, and “Wild Kids” from Sweden. Last year, United Kingdom’s “Pet School” took home the Emmy Kids Award for the “Non-scripted Entertainment” category.

In case the show wins this category, this would be the third time that “Dad! Where Are We Going?” will be recognized in the international scene. The show has previously received two international awards including the Platinum Award in the TV entertainment category of WorldFest-Houston International Film 2014 and Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Prize 2013.

MBC’s “Dad! Where Are We Going?,” which began airing in January 2013, features a group of celebrity fathers and their children who go on a trip to spend quality time together. The show’s format has become so popular that it spawned international versions in China, where it has a huge following, as well as Russia and Vietnam, which are slated to air this year.

“Dad! Where Are We Going?” airs on MBC every Sunday on MBC.
