YG Entertainment Reportedly Debuting New Girl Group in November

It looks like YG Entertainment may be set to debut a new girl group soon.

According to an exclusive report by Star News on October 16, an industry insider said, “YG’s new girl group is currently recording their debut track and record. The group has prepared for their debut for a long time, and they are now in the final stages.”

Star News states that it’s likely the group will debut this coming November.

If the report is in fact true, this would be YG’s first girl group since the 2009 debut of 2NE1, and anticipation is high, especially in the midst of various other girl group debuts, including TS Entertainment‘s SONAMOO, which just unveiled its first three members, an eight-member group from Woollim Entertainment, and SM‘s recently-debuted Red Velvet.

Members allegedly confirmed for the group are Kim Ji Soo (1995, pictured left), and Jennie Kim (1996, pictured right), who starred in G-Dragon’s “That XX” music video.
