VIXX Members Throw First Pitch and Sing National Anthem at Baseball Game

On October 27, three members of VIXX made an appearance at a Nexen Heroes vs. LG Twins baseball game for the first match of the 2014 play-offs. Before the start of the game, Leo sang the Korean national anthem, and N threw the first pitch from the pitcher’s mound while Hongbin stood at the batter’s box.

Prior to stepping onto the field, N shared his thoughts on throwing the first pitch: “It’s an honor for me to throw the first pitch at a professional baseball post-season game, which is our nation’s greatest sports festival. I prepared in my spare time in order to showcase a good pitch worthy of the festival. I hope the Nexen Heroes win after gaining strength from the pitch.”

Leo’s calm yet powerful voice while singing the national anthem filled the stadium, as the athletes and those in the crowd respectfully placed their hands over their heart. Following N’s pitch, the commentator complimented him, saying that he threw the ball well. Although Hongbin’s swing didn’t come into contact with the ball, both N and Hongbin received applause from the audience.
