Super Junior’s Leeteuk: “Juniors Who Disrespect Their Seniors Usually Don’t Last Long”

Super Junior member Leeteuk recently gave a fair warning to junior idol group members in the music industry.

The November 1 broadcast of MBC’s variety talk show “Quiz to Change the World” put on an ‘Expert vs. Idol’ special. On this episode, members of Super Junior, Red Velvet, miss A, and more appeared as guests on the idol panel.

During one of the discussions about the ‘Most Disliked Idol [Behavior],’ the panels talked about junior idol groups who ignore or disrespect their seniors after gaining popularity.

Leeteuk shared his sincere advice: “It’s true that those [kinds of juniors] are disliked. However, in the case of those juniors, they can’t make it very far. Most of them disappear quickly. Popularity is like the rice grains in shikhye (traditional rice beverage). You don’t know when it’ll rise or sink. I think it’s best to remain humble.”
