Gong Hyo Jin Takes On First Theatrical Play, "Educating Rita"

Actress Gong Hyo Jin, who has a number of film and television projects under her name, will be embarking on her first theatrical play through “Educating Rita.”

“Educating Rita” is a stage comedy written by British playwright Willy Russell. It is about a young hairdresser Rita (Gong Hyo Jin), who wants to find growth by taking a class in an open university.

On November 5, actress Gong Hyo Jin’s agency, Management Soop, released some photos taken from the shoot of the play’s poster.

In the photos, Gong Hyo Jin transformed into the beautician and homemaker Rita. The actress showed her charming, down-to-earth charisma as she smiled warmly for the camera in one photo wherein she holds a lipstick and shows a more serious expression as she holds a book. The actress is dressed in a printed dress and white top and sported curly locks, giving off an approachable feel.

“Educating Rita” will be running from December 3 until February 1, 2015 at DCF Daemyung Culture Factory in Seoul.
