Lovelyz' Seo Ji Soo to Take Temporary Break from Group Due to Psychological Instability Following Rumor Controversy

Woollim Entertainment has revealed that new girl group Lovelyz will be making its debut with only seven out of the eight members for the time being. It is being reported that member Seo Ji Soo will not be able to join the group for its debut showcase and will temporarily halt all group promotions.

The agency has explained its decision on November 12 with the statement: “Seo Ji Soo will take a temporary break from all activities ahead of Lovelyz’ showcase. It has been decided that Seo Ji Soo’s psychological condition is too unstable for her to carry out promotions normally due to the series of malicious rumors. It has become an urgent priority for her to regain mental stability with hospital care. Seo Ji Soo will join the group once again after finding psychological stability as well as catching the rumor distributors through police investigation.”

The group’s debut showcase is scheduled to continue as planned on this day at Olympic Park’s K-ART Hall with seven members.

Meanwhile, Woollim Entertainment requested a formal police investigation into finding the sources of the malicious rumors being spread about Seo Ji Soo on November 10.
