2014 Melon Music Awards Ratings Peak During Taeyang's Performance

The solo stage of BIGBANG‘s Taeyang recorded the highest ratings during the 2014 Melon Music Awards.

According to ratings company TNmS, the average nation-wide ratings for the awards show were 1.834%, whereas the ratings were slightly higher among the show’s target group, women from their teens to thirties, at 2.34%. The awards show aired on cable channels MBC Music, MBC Everyone1, and MBC Queen.

The 1-minute peak of the show took place during Taeyang’s stage, when the ratings peaked at 2.6%, making his performance the night’s most viewed one. Among the target demographic, the ratings hit 3.43%.

During the highly anticipated awards ceremony, Taeyang brought the heat by performing his catchy dance track, “Body,” followed by one of this year’s biggest hits, “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” which was crowned the Best Song of the Year that night.
