Jung Il Woo Chooses Son Ye Jin as Korea's Best Actress

Actor Jung Il Woo has opened up about his friendly relationship with actress Son Ye Jin.

During an interview with news outlet The Star, the actor revealed, “I am close with Gong Hyo Jin and Son Ye Jin.”

Recently, Son Ye Jin thanked Jung Il Woo for taking the time and attending the VIP preview of her latest film, “The Pirates.” Regarding this, the actor said, “When noona was shooting the film ‘Blood and Ties,’ she invited me to the VIP screening, but I was feeling sick and didn’t want to go anywhere. I didn’t even inform her about not going. However, she told me she knew I wouldn’t go.”

“I felt sorry, so I promised to attend the screening of ‘The Pirates,’ but actually, I had a shoot on that day. Thinking that I must go no matter what, I went to the event and greeted noona, took photos in front of the photo wall, and headed back to the filming location,” he added, and revealed his colleague’s whereabouts, “I contacted noona today. I suggested we go out for dinner soon, but she has started filming an another movie.”

When asked if he would like to work together with her, Jung Il Woo replied, “Yes, I would like to. Son Ye Jin noona is the only person that monitors my acting a lot,” and praised the actress, “To be honest, I think noona is the best Korean actress. I believe eyes are important when acting serious scenes, and she has the ability to grab the viewer’s attention with her eyes.”

Meanwhile, Jung Il Woo appeared on MBC’s “The Night Watchman” that concluded its run on October 21.
