G-Dragon and Taeyang Are "Good Boys" in New Collaboration Music Video
BIGBANG members G-Dragon and Taeyang have become G-Dragon x Taeyang with the release of the music video for “Good Boy” through the official YG Entertainment YouTube channel.
Before the music video was released, G-Dragon voiced his excitement with a series of tweets counting down to the release.
“Hello everyone it’s been awhile! I am currently on my way to my hotel in Osaka after finishing a dome tour concert. There’s 50 minutes left. Just saying.”
“What am I talking about? Taeyang and I will release a single. The music video will be released on midnight and if you’re bored, you should wait. 40 minutes left. Just saying.”
“The title is ‘Good Boy’ and you should just listen to it comfortably since it’s a happy song. You should listen to it if you’re curious. Since it’s released at midnight, there’s 30 minutes left. Just saying.”
Then he proceeded to countdown from 20, 10, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 minute, each ending with “Just saying.”
I’m sure he was just as excited as the fans when the music video was released. Watch it below!
Previous teasers indicated that G-Dragon has taken charge of arranging the song, and is credited as the sole lyric writer. Helping with composition is Freedo, as well as heavyweight American songwriting duo The Fliptones, who have previously collaborated with the likes of Jessica Mauboy, Jason Derulo,Ice Cube, Britney Spears, and Flo Rida.
The Fliptones have worked with both G-Dragon and Taeyang before, working on the Taeyang album “Rise,” where the song “Stay with Me” was co-written by G-Dragon and The Fliptones (and also featured vocals from G-Dragon).
YG has previously announced that a second three-member project group will be releasing material on December 2, though the identities of the members of this project group have not yet been revealed.
