BIGBANG’s Taeyang Set to Launch Extensive Tour of Asia

BIGBANG star Taeyang is set to embark on a solo tour entitled “2015 Taeyang World Tour Rise.” The tour will see the boy band member play at venues in a variety of countries in Asia, including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore.

Taeyang will play in nine cities in a total of seven countries, kicking off with a concert in Hong Kong on January 10 next year.

YG Entertainment, the talent agency that represents the star, has released a promotional image for the tour, as well as a video spot.

Taeyang has enjoyed considerable success throughout Asia with his solo work, and hit the Number 2 spot on the Japanese Oricon Album Charts with the solo Japanese debut album “Rise [+Solar & Hot],” released in August this year. The singer also performed a series of concerts in Japan in August and September this year, many of which were sold out.

It appears that Taeyang is set for a busy start to the year in 2015, as he will also be performing as part of BIGBANG for the group’s “BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2014-2015,” which began on November 15 this year.
