Teen Top Considering Dropping Charges against Netizens who Submit Formal Charges
Teen Top‘s agency announced on November 26 that they will consider dropping charges against the netizens who spread rumors of the group stockpiling their albums, if the accused netizens submit formal written apologies.
In their official press release, Teen Top‘s agency TOP Media announced, “We have pressed charges against a group of netizens who spread false rumors about the group on particular online communities and social networking sites in September. Some of them were willing to cooperate with the agency, so their contact information has been passed on so far. If they acknowledge that they have spread false rumors and therefore defamed Teen Top in a formal written apology, we are considering dropping the charges.”
After receiving the case in November, the police has identified the netizens who spread the rumors regarding Teen Top stockpiling their own albums. Majority of them were in their late teens or early twenties.
