Ahn Jae Hyun Positively Considers Role in New Vampire/Medical Drama "Blood"

With his pale white skin and youthful and handsome appearance, it is no surprise that model-turned-actor Ahn Jae Hyun is the top pick for the upcoming vampire-themed medical drama, “Blood.” The actor is said to be currently in talks for the lead role of the KBS 2TV drama which will air next year.

“Ahn Jae Hyun has received an offer to appear in the KBS 2TV drama ‘Blood.’ Currently, we are positively reviewing whether he will appear in the drama or not,” said a representative from HB Entertainment, the agency of Ahn Jae Hyun, to Newsen on December 1.

The upcoming KBS 2TV drama “Blood” is a vampire-themed medical drama which is one of the highly anticipated KBS dramas of the first half of next year. Drama fans are getting excited for this drama because PD Ki Min Soo and writer Park Jae Bum of the KBS 2TV drama “Good Doctor” will once again team up for this project.

If Ahn Jae Hyun takes the offer of the lead role, he will play the male lead Park Ji Sang. The character of Park Ji Sang is a unique vampire who suppresses and controls his desire and hunger for blood as he is the the section head of the Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery department at the Cancer Center of a hospital.

This will be Ahn Jae Hyun’s comeback project after seven months following his role in the SBS drama “You’re All Surrounded” which was shown last July.

“Blood” is aiming to air on the first half of next year, possibly on February, to follow the KBS 2TV Monday-Tuesday drama “Healer.”
