Yoon Kye Sang Speaks Up About Misunderstandings Regarding His Past Departure from g.o.d
After 10 years, actor Yoon Kye Sang was finally able to open up about his feelings during the time he left g.o.d in 2004.
On the December 1 broadcast of MBC’s “Docu Special,” Yoon Kye Sang confessed his feelings that he wasn’t able to say when he left the group.
“I think there was that misunderstanding that I chose acting and even neglected g.o.d. I should have explained myself that time but the moment I said ‘No,’ I felt that the fight among the members was exposed,” said Yoon Kye Sang.
“I think young hearts are like that. If there’s no trust to the point that people who are like brothers to you misunderstand you, I thought that it’s better if I don’t do activities as g.o.d,” revealed Yoon Kye Sang.
Contrary to what many people thought, Yoon Kye Sang did not leave g.o.d to be an actor but instead of clearing up the rumors, he chose to be quiet about it.
“I say that it’s like the feeling of having a family and they all moved out except me. That weird feeling is still left in me, like some kind of trauma. If this story sticks out, I really fall into sadness, because of trauma,” added Yoon Kye Sang.
With his decision, all the other members felt bad and they also shared their feelings through the documentary.
Danny Ahn said, “Our members’ persistence is no joke. Because Kye Sang decided like that, I thought, ‘We can’t unchange this,’ and the eldest member Park Joon Hyung said, ‘It’s not even betrayal. My heart was just in pain.'”
“I think it was the saddest part of my life,” said Kim Tae Woo. “I cried for close to one week. And because of (his) betrayal, I also didn’t want to become a singer anymore,” Kim Tae Woo added.
Son Ho Young added, “We were like a married couple who had a divorce.”
Actor Yoon Kye Sang made his debut as a g.o.d member in 1999 and left the group in 2004. He has returned to g.o.d in time for the group’s 15th anniversary.
