Producer of "Superman Returns": "I Am Relieved that Chu Sarang Resembles Her Mother"
Kang Bong Gyu, the main producer of KBS2TV’s “Superman Returns,” has confessed that he is relieved to see how Chu Sarang looks more and more like her mother.
The producer recently sat down with news outlet Star News for an interview, during which he talked about his first impression of Chu Sarang and her growth on the show.
“When [Chu] Sarang first appeared on ‘Superman Returns,’ she was really small. Contrary to how she looks like on the screen, she was tiny in real life. She was slightly bigger than my fist,” the PD explained.
“At first, she looked like a combination of her father Chu Sung Hoon and mother Yano Shiho‘s faces, and at times, she resembled her grandmother. However, now that she is growing up, she has started to resemble Yano Shiho the most,” the producer said, and laughed, “I think it’s a relief that she resembles her mother instead of her father.”
“[Chu] Sarang’s arms and legs are getting gradually longer. Proportionally, her head is getting smaller as well. When she becomes an adult, we might see her make it big in Korea and Japan thanks to her looks that she has inherited from her mother,” he concluded.
“Superman Returns” airs on Sundays at 4:50 p.m.
