KBS to Cut Out Awards Segment from ‘2014 KBS Music Festival’

While SBS recently decided to bring back its awards ceremony for this year’s Gayo Daejun, it has been announced that the awards segment of the 2014 KBS Music Festival has been cut out from the year-end ceremony.

On December 8, a KBS representative revealed to TV Report, “This year’s music festival will not include an awards segment. We will not be inviting a lot of teams. Instead, we are limiting the number to 22 teams and simply turning the event into a festival to enjoy. As much as we’re tightening the number of attendees, just being invited to the music festival in itself will count as being this year’s artists.”

The artists in attendance at this year’s music festival are expected to perform their hit songs, as well as put on various special collaboration stages.

The 2014 KBS Music Festival is set to be broadcast live on December 26.
