Henry: “I Couldn’t Play When I Was Younger Because I Was Always Practicing Violin”

On the December 12 broadcast of tvN’s music reality program “Always Cantare,” Super Junior’s Henry talked about practicing instruments during his childhood.

During this episode, Henry shared, “I haven’t been able to take part in practice due to my busy schedule. I’m practicing a lot by myself to the best of my ability,” as he revealed his personal studio.

He also talked about how his childhood was spent immersed in music: “I wasn’t able to play a lot when I was younger. While other kids played with their friends, I always stayed home to practice everyday. I practiced violin for three hours and piano for three hours. I couldn’t do sports or play that much in case I injured my hands,” remembering the times he sacrificed to chase after his dreams.

Later on, cameras showed Henry even practicing violin inside of a bathroom. The Super Junior member explained, “Bathrooms create an echo effect. It sounds really good. It’s become a habit to practice in the bathroom since I was younger.”

Meanwhile, “Always Cantare” is a show that follows a group of celebrities and ordinary people that form an orchestra in order to put on a charity concert.
