JYJ's Kim Jaejoong Is Open to Appearing on “Superman Returns”
JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong opened up about making appearances in variety shows.
Kim Jaejoong and co-stars Bae Jong Ok, Yoo Oh Sung, and Go Sung Hee of upcoming KBS2 Friday drama “Spy” attended a media briefing session held on December 17 at the KBS headquarters in Yeouido.
In response to the question of whether he has any plans to appear on variety shows to promote the drama, Kim Jaejoong replied, “I think it’s been about five years since I appeared on a variety show. It’s been so long that I don’t really know which shows are popular these days.”
Announcer Jo Woo Jong who was officiating the briefing session chimed in, “These days the show ‘1 Night 2 Days’ and ‘Superman Returns’ are pretty popular,” to which Kim Jaejoong responded, “If I want to appear on ‘Superman Returns’ do I need to get married?” The room filled with laughter at his quirky question.
Jo Woo Jong said, “It doesn’t matter; you can take care of other people’s children.” Kim Jaejoong replied, “Okay, then I’ll try to raise them well. If it will help the drama I will make an appearance [on “Superman Returns”].”
Loosely based on international hit Israeli drama “Gordin Cell” (also known as “MICE”), “Spy” tells the story of a son who discovers the secret past of his ex-spy mother who risked her life in a gamble to save her son’s life. Kim Jaejoong will portray the son Seon Woo and actress Bae Jong Ok will play his mother.
The secret intelligence family thriller is slated to premiere on KBS in January.
