EXID Ranks Hits Number One on Music Chart with Old Song "Up & Down"

EXID, who has lately seen a surge in popularity, has reached top spots on the music charts.

“Up & Down,” which was first released on August 27, reached the top of Mnet’s music chart three months after its release on December 18. It was also ranked second place on Genie, third place on Melon, and fourth place on Bugs.

Though “Up & Down” did not gain much recognition when it was first released, a fancam of the performance gained fame on the Internet and soon started rapidly trending. First posted on Youtube in October, the video of EXID dancing seductively to “Up & Down” during one of their events quickly caught the eyes of the audience. Since then, EXID has been performing in music shows with their old song, a rare case that proves their growing popularity.

“Up & Down,” made by Sinsadong Tiger, Bum Yi, and Nang Yi, is a perfect mix of a catchy hook and tasteful production.

Meanwhile, A Pink hit the top of the chart with their song “Luv” on Olleh Music and Genie. Jung Seung Hwan from the SBS audition program “K-pop Star 4” also took first place on Melon and Bugs’ music chart with “I Want to Fall in Love.”
