Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Donghae Channel James Dean for The Star, Share Their Definition of Youth
Super Junior members Eunhyuk and Donghae shared their definition of youth.
On December 19, star and style magazine The Star revealed a pictorial featuring Donghae and Eunhyuk.
The two bandmates channeled iconic heartthrob James Dean for the photoshoot. Sporting pompadour hairdos reminiscent of the 1950s and leather and jean jackets, Donghae and Eunhyuk ooze charisma and iconoclasm. In subtle gestures and glances, like the hand Eunhyuk places over his mouth on the cover photo, the two idols embody the restlessness and rebelliousness of youth, which James Dean has become synonymous with. This is the first time that just the two of them have been featured together for a magazine cover.
During the interview, Donghae and Eunhyuk, who were both born in 1986, shared their definition of youth, “Youth is constantly, ceaselessly having things that you want to do. And it is the determination to accomplish those things. [We] want to live without being calculative, without having complicated thoughts. The more thoughts you have the more fear you have, and it takes you longer to make a decision.”
You can catch Donghae and Eunhyuk’s spread as well as the the full interview in the January issue of The Star.
