Girls' Generation's Sooyoung to Step Down from "One Night of TV Entertainment" MC Position

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung will be stepping down as the host of SBS’ “One Night of TV Entertainment.”

According to the producers of the show, the last episode hosted by Sooyoung will air on December 24.

Having joined the show in June 2012, this will mark her departure after two and half years as the MC. According to reports, she decided to step down from her position in order to focus on Girls’ Generation’s upcoming overseas activities.

Sooyoung shared her thoughts on leaving the show, “Since starting as the MC of ‘One Night,’ I have had many good opportunities come my way, such as drama offers. Although I was busy due to concerts, [the experience] was rewarding. I believe I will forever belong to the ‘One Night’ family.”

The new MC has been confirmed as SBS’ announcer Jang Ye Won, who will be hosting the episode airing on January 7.
