T-ara Reveals They Didn't Know If They Would Make It Out on the Other End
Six-member girl group T-ara held their first-ever solo concert in Korea since debuting five years ago in 2009.
The two-hour concert “Dear My Family” took place at COEX Auditorium in Seoul on December 25. Although T-ara has held approximately thirty solo concerts abroad in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and more since their debut, “Dear My Family” was special for the members as it was their first solo concert at home.
The concert was entitled “Dear My Family” to express how T-ara considers their fans as family.
Each of the members took time to say a few words to their fans who filled the 1,100-seat auditorium.
Hyomin struggled to hold back tears as she said, “I’m just happy.” Soyeon remarked, “Although we have had many concerts in other countries, this is our first one in Korea. We waited a long time for this and really missed you all.” Eunjung added, “We were supposed to have a concert [in Korea] three years ago, but it was canceled last minute. It’s been a long time coming, but thank you so much for coming out. You guys make me want to work even harder to go forward.” Boram said, “It’s hard to try and express in words my happiness and excitement.” Jiyeon said, “We plan to perform songs that you usually don’t get to see us perform,” and Qri commented, “Thank you so much for coming out on Christmas. We hope you have a wonderful time.”
The subtitles of a video that played at the concert read, “When we think about the past, we [remember] how we weren’t sure whether we would make it out on the other end… The only reason we are able to stand on this stage today is because of you guys.”
T-ara will hold one more solo concert at the same location on December 26 at 7 p.m., KST.
