Rain, Krystal, Jo In Sung, and More Likely to Be Absent from 2014 SBS Drama Awards
Expectations are falling for the 2014 SBS Drama Awards as more and more stars confirm their absence from the year-end awards ceremony.
Those who are already confirmed to not attend the event include singer-actor Rain, as well as actors Park Hae Jin and Lee Ji Ah. Rain, who starred in “My Lovely Girl” earlier this year, will not be in Korea on the day of the ceremony due to filming schedules for his debut drama production in China titled “Diamond Lover.” Actress Lee Ji Ah, who made a successful comeback through “Thrice Married Woman,” has also confirmed her absence. Park Hae Jin, who starred in two SBS dramas this year—“Man from the Stars” and “Doctor Stranger”—will be unable to attend as he will be filming his new movie, “Friends 2” in China as well.
It is very unlikely that Lee Seung Gi, who has been nominated for an award for “You’re All Surrounded,” will be present at SBS Drama Awards due to conflicting schedules. Other stars that have a high chance of not attending include the lead actors of “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin. The two actors’ agencies have yet to make a statement on whether they will be present at the event.
A rep of SM Entertainment also recently revealed, “It is very likely that f(x)’s Krystal will not attend due to other schedules.”
Meanwhile, the SBS Drama Awards is scheduled to be broadcast live on December 31.
