Jun Ji Hyun to Attend Year-End SBS Drama Awards for the First Time in 15 Years

Actress Jun Ji Hyun has confirmed her attendance at the upcoming 2014 SBS Drama Awards!

On December 29, a representative of the actress’s agency revealed, “Jun Ji Hyun will be going to the SBS Drama Awards being held on December 31.”

According to the rep, Jun Ji Hyun has made adjustments to her filming schedule in order to make an appearance at the year-end awards ceremony. Despite her busy schedules, she has decided to attend as a way of thanking the public for the love she has received during the year.

The news of the actress’s appearance at this event is gaining much attention, as it is the first time in 15 years that she will be attending a public broadcast drama awards ceremony. The last time was in 1999, when Jun Ji Hyun received the New Actor award for her drama “Happy Together.”

Through her comeback to the small screen in 14 years with the much-loved “Man from the Stars,” Jun Ji Hyun is said to be a strong contender for the Daesang Award (grand prize) this year.
