Soyu and Junggigo's "Some" Takes Triple Crown on Gaon's End-of-year Charts
Soyu and Junggigo’s “Some” has taken the triple crown on Gaon’s 2014 end-of-year evaluations.
On December 29, Gaon Charts revealed 2014’s album sales, digital sales, download sales, streaming, and top five most sung at karaokes. The top five on album sales were, from first to fifth place, Exo-K’s “Overdose,” Exo-M’s “Overdose,” Super Junior’s “Mamacita,” TVXQ’s “Tense,” and Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Mr.”
On the digital sales of things, the first place was taken by Soyu and Junggigo’s “Some,” followed by Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” in second, then Park Hyo Shin’s “Wild Flower,” San E and Raina’s “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness,” and IU’s “The Meaning of You” Feat. Kim Chang Wan in third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
Soyu und Junggigo also took first in the download sales, followed by Park Hyo Shin’s “Wild Flower,” Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” IU’s “The Meaning of You” Feat. Kim Chang Wan, and San E and Raina’s “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness.”
The streaming sales also placed Soyu and Junggigo at the top, followed by Park Hyo Shin’s “Wild Flower,” IU’s “Friday” Feat. Jang Yi Jung, San E and Raina’s “A Midsummer Night’s Sweetness,” and Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”
The five most sung songs at karaokes were Im Chang Jung’s “A Glass of Soju” in first place, Park Hyo Shin’s “Wild Flower” in second, Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” in third, then Big Mama’s “Resignation” and Izi’s “Emergency Room” in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Meanwhile, the Korean Music Contents Industry Association will use the data to award artists on the fourth annual Gaon K-Pop Awards on January 28 in the Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
