Stills from KBS Drama "Spy" Continue to Show "Common Mother and Son" Bae Jong Ok and Kim Jaejoong
The newly-released stills from the upcoming KBS drama “Spy” featured the program’s main characters played by Bae Jong Ok and Kim Jaejoong.
The still photos released continue to show the “common mother and son” image of the characters that Bae Jong Ok and Kim Jaejoong play. Just like common people who attend their graduation ceremonies, Kim Jaejoong is wearing a toga while his on-screen mother, Bae Jong Ok, brings him flowers to congratulate him. The two show a warm mother and son feel.
In the family espionage drama, Bae Jong Ok and Kim Jaejoong play the mother and son who aren’t as common as they seem to be. Bae Jong Ok plays the role of Hye Rim, an ex-spy mother from North Korea, while Kim Jaejoong plays the role of her son Seon Woo, a genius analyst who works for the National Intelligence Service.
“Spy” is based on the Israeli drama “The Gordin Cell.” It tells the story of an ex-spy mother (Bae Jong Ok) who will do anything to protect her son Seon Woo (Kim Jaejoong) who works for the National Intelligence Service. It will be a new hybrid drama, mixing the usual family drama genre with spy thriller elements.
“Spy” airs its two-episode premiere on January 9, 2015 from 9:30 p.m. until 11:10 p.m. (KST).
