Girl’s Day’s Yura Asks Hong Jong Hyun a Trick Question: “Did I Gain Weight?”

On the January 3 broadcast of MBC’s virtual marriage program “We Got Married,” model-actor Hong Jong Hyun and Girl’s Day’s Yura returned to their home after going on vacation to Bali.

As the two were talking, Yura shared that her parents came to visit her in Seoul, to which Hong Jong Hyun asked what they did together. The Girl’s Day member confessed, “We just kept eating. Did I gain weight?” A bit of silence carried out as Hong Jong Hyun was unsure of how to answer her tricky question.

When he didn’t answer, Yura asked again, “Did I gain weight? Be honest.” Hong Jong Hyun finally opened his mouth and said, “I’m a very honest person so…I’m going to tell you the truth. When I first saw you earlier, I thought, ‘Oh, she gained a little weight,’ but I didn’t want to say anything in case you got mad if I did.”

After hearing his answer, Yura burst into laughter in shock at his unexpected honesty and said, “I didn’t gain a lot, just maybe a little swollen,” as she was unable to hide her disappointment at his answer.
