New Girl Group G-Friend Drops Preview Photos Ahead of Debut
Talent agency Source Music has unveiled individual and group photos of the agency’s new girl group G-Friend. The agency took to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the group’s official Daum café site to publicize the pictures. One of the group images features a caption that reads, “Thursday January 15,” which appears to be the date of the girls’ debut.
The group consists of six members: Shinbi, Eumji, Yuju, Sowon, Yerin, and Eunha. Sowon, born in 1995, is the group’s oldest member, while the group’s maknae, or youngest member, is Eumji, who was born in 1998. Yuju is the group’s main vocalist.
Source Music had originally hoped the girls would make their debut towards the end of last year, and released pictures in October 2014 featuring Shinbi, Eumbi, Yerin, and Sowon. After a slight delay, however, it seems that the group’s line-up is complete, and that it is now ready to make its entry onto the K-pop scene.
G-Friend will be working with songwriter Lee Ki Yong Bae for the group’s debut release. Lee Ki Yong Bae has previously worked with the likes of Orange Caramel and Ailee.
