'Mood of the Day' Reveals Kiss Scene Still Between Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won

The romantic comedy film Mood of the Day has revealed stills of a kiss scene between Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won.

Jun Su, played by Lee Seung Gi, is told by Hyun Woo (Moon Chae Won) that he does not feel anything in her heart for him. Then Jun Su says, “I’ll make your heart tremble,” before pushing forward and kissing her.

Jun Su, who had always been more of a brother and friend to her, had shown her a manly side of him that she had not seen before. The scene, which begins a bit awkwardly but becomes a hot kiss, confirms the complicated feelings that Jun Su and Hyun Woo had for each other for the past 18 years and will surely move the hearts of couples in the audience.

Lee Seung Gi expressed his confidence in the scene, saying, “We had to film the kiss scene on the fourth shoot, and it was so awkward that we even looked up each other’s kiss scenes from the past. But once we actually began the scene, the awkwardness almost helped us. Since it was their first time kissing in 18 years that they knew each other, it would have been awkward for Jun Su and Hyun Woo as well, and a kiss scene that was naturally awkward was born.”

The director Park Jin Pyo also told a behind-the-scenes story about the scene. He said, “Since they had to execute a kiss scene in front of so many people so early on in the filming, I thought it would be hard for them. So I said, ‘Make all of the staff jealous with your kiss.’ And it came out so well to the point where the staff really could be jealous.”

“Mood of the Day” is a romantic comedy film telling a difficult love story between lovers who have not quite established themselves as a couple yet. It will open in theaters on January 15.
