“Kill Me, Heal Me” Premiere Places Second in Wednesday Drama Race

New MBC Wednesday-Thursday series “Kill Me, Heal Me” has made a strong start in the 10 p.m. ratings war. The program’s first episode aired on January 7 and managed to reap 9.2 percent of the national viewing rate in Korea. However, the new series finished behind SBS’ “Pinocchio,” which garnered an 11.8 percent score.

Ratings figures were released on January 8 by Nielsen Korea, an organization that monitors viewer rates. According to Nielsen Korea’s report, “Kill Me, Heal Me” managed to attract almost 2 percent more viewers than KBS2’s “The King’s Face,” which managed a viewer rating of 7.3 percent.

The new drama stars the likes of Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum and tells the story of a chaebol heir who seeks help from a psychiatry resident to cure his personality disorder.

The second episode of “Kill Me, Heal Me” will air at 10 p.m. on January 8.
