Crayon Pop Member Soyul's "Y-Shirt" Video Re-Uploaded After Editing

The music video for Crayon Pop member Soyul’s new solo single “Y-Shirt” has been re-uploaded to Youtube after undergoing some slight editing.

Viewers of the new video, uploaded on January 13, found one slight difference between the two versions. The change comes at the 3:08 mark of the video, when a newspaper article comes on screen detailing the success of Soyul’s “y-shirt” design. In the original video, the text of the article actually contained a short summary of the Japanese empire and World War II. The edited version instead displays a history of Crayon Pop. The Japanese empire’s 35-year colonial rule over Korea in the early 20th century remains a very sensitive issue for many Koreans, and is likely to have been a factor in the change.

“Y-Shirt” is sung in Crayon Pop’s typical cute and bubbly style, and the video features Soyul as a tailor with an affinity for men in dress shirts.
