Jang Geun Suk Steps Down from "Three Meals a Day"
Actor Jang Geun Suk will be leaving the fishing village spin-off of “Three Meals a Day” due to the recent rumors of his alleged tax evasion that resurfaced.
Cable channel tvN announced his departure from the show through a press release they issued on January 15.
They stated, “After checking with his agency, we found out that [his tax situation] was not intentional, and that the situation was taken care of after he paid a fine.” However, they continued, “Despite the clarification, the media keeps reporting on this misunderstanding, and many viewers are concerned with him appearing on the show. Thus, we have decided that it was not the best time for Jang Geun Suk to be appearing on the show, and after discussing this with him, we have decided collectively to let him leave the show.”
The fishing village special of “Three Meals a Day” will continue with Cha Seung Won and Yoo Hae Jin. It will also premiere a week later than scheduled, on January 23.
