Ha Ji Won Wows Fans with Archery and Dancing Skills at Asia Tour Fan Meet in Singapore
Recently, Ha Ji Won returned to Singapore for a second time in a short span of three months to hold her first Asia Tour on January 10 at the Singapore Conference Hall. Aptly titled “Bridge of Friendship,” the beautiful actress cherished each and every interaction with her fans and even broke down in tears during encore.
The night started with Ha Ji Won singing “That Woman” from “Secret Garden” OST. Even though she isn’t a professional singer, Ha Ji Won bravely took on the song by singing it live.
“Hello everyone, I’m Ha Ji Won. I’ve waited for such a long time to meet everyone tonight. Finally I get to meet everyone! It’s exciting! I really hope everyone will have a good time today. I’m really grateful to meet you here today, thank you!” Ha Ji Won tried her best to communicate in English directly, receiving cheers from delighted fans. Apparently she has been learning English so that she can meet her fans in Singapore and also in preparation to work in Hollywood.
During the interactive games segment, fans were selected to go on stage to complete the “Secret Garden” Mission. The person who managed to get the most milk foam on their upper lip was ti be rewarded with a solo Polaroid with Ha Ji Won. But the thoughtful Ha Ji Won decided to take one with each fan in the end. How sweet of her!
The second “Empress Ki” mission game drew much laughter as Ha Ji Won professed that she’s great at archery, which she gamely demonstrated. Her arrow hit “Empress Ki” co-star Joo Jin Mo right in the face; well, the Joo Jin Moo stand-in, who was one of Ha Ji Won’s managers donning a mask of Joo Jin Mo.
In one of the videos, Ha Ji Won was seen rehearsing a dance with her staff. The dance was for a song that Ha Ji Won exclusively performed for the Singapore audience. This alone touched the hearts of many fans as it’s not a formula fan meeting where the artist performs the same set list in every country.
The dancers in rain coats were none other than her managers. Dancing to Malaysian Chinese singer-songwriter-actor Ah-Niu‘s song “Look Over Here, Boy in Front of Me” (originally “Dui Mian De Nu Hai Kan Guo Lai” with the Girl changed to Boy.) The close relationship shared by the Ha Ji Won and her staff was evident.
Ha Ji Won mentioned that Singapore has the best desserts and her favorite ones are those with coconut. She also loves the spicy noodle soup Laksa but was disappointed that she may not have the chance to eat it during the trip.
The night ended with a hi-touch session and Ha Ji Won gifted all the fans a candy bar soap carved with her signature. What a sweet memory for fans!
