Park Myung Soo Renews His Vow to Donate One Billion Won on "Infinity Challenge"
Park Myung Soo’s promise to donate one billion won (roughly 920,000 USD) was brought up on the recent broadcast of “Infinity Challenge,” causing the comedian a bit of embarrassment.
On the show’s 413th episode, Yoo Jae Suk brought up Park Myung Soo’s five-year-old vow to donate the money, saying, “Didn’t you say you’d donate a billion won in 2015?” The show then played a clip of its 200th episode special in which he made the pledge “to donate a billion won to Korean society in 2015.”
Embarrassed, Park Myung Soo said, “I’ll give it to you straight. This year’s going to be a little difficult. I’m not saying that I won’t do it, just that I’ll give it incrementally. But this year will be difficult. I’ve had a few bad things happen to me recently.” To everyone’s surprise, he then emphasized his conviction to donate the cash, saying, “I’m speaking honestly. I’ll definitely do it.”
