Crayon Pop's Soyul Accepted to Sungshin Women's University

Crayon Pop’s Soyul is now officially a college student.

It has been announced that the singer was accepted to Sungshin Women’s University’s College of Culture and Arts as a Video Media for Acting major for the 2015 school year.

According to an industry source, Soyul had applied to the program last year as well but was not accepted. Being the only school that she was interested in attending, she reapplied and was fortunately accepted the second time around.

Regarding her acceptance, Soyul released a statement through her agency that read, “I have dreamed of becoming an actress since I was young. By studying acting at university, I will be able to show fans the various sides of myself. I am so happy to have been accepted at the university that I have dreamed of attending. I will be sure to engage in my studies earnestly while continuing to perform,” she said, revealing her determination to study hard.

Meanwhile, Soyul will have some company at Sungshin, as actress Lee Sae Young, KARA’s Goo Hara, and actress Lee Yeol Eum are also Video Media for Acting majors at the school.
