Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2015 – February Week 1

CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa takes the No. 1 spot this week with “One Fine Day,” the title song of his first solo album of the same name. This song moves up from No. 13 last week and edges out two challengers in a close call. “One Fine Day” is an acoustic ballad written by Jung Yong Hwa himself. The style is very different from CNBLUE’s songs. It is about a man who remembers the times he shared with his past love and describes how he feels currently without her. “One Fine Day” won on “Inkigayo” and “Music Bank” last week, but it still needed a strong showing on our Soompi airplay to reach the top spot. Congratulations to Jung Yong Hwa!

Moving up one spot to No. 2 is Mad Clown’s “Fire.” This song won on “M!Countdown” and “Show Champion” last week. It was just nine points behind “One Fine Day.” Let see if this song can move up to the top spot next week.

Another two points back is Davichi’s latest hit “Cry Again,” our second new entry to the top 10 this week. This is one of the two title songs from Davichi’s mini-album “Davichi Hug.” It is an emotional ballad about a woman who is not able to express her true feelings about a breakup. Davichi’s vocal harmony makes this song more special. “Cry Again” won on “Music Core” last week. It moves up 14 spots to No. 3 this week and will be a main challenger for No. 1 next week.
