Former Hello Venus Member Yoo Ara to Star in "The Moon that Embraces the Sun" Musical in Japan

Yoo Ara, a former member of girl group Hello Venus, has been cast in the musical production of “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” in Japan.

On February 11, her agency Urban Works Ent. announced that she will be starring in the musical production as the main character, Yeon Woo. In the drama of the same name, her character was portrayed by Han Ga In.

Supernova‘s Sungmo will play Hwon, her love interest, in the musical.

Yoo Ara left Hello Venus in the summer of 2014, and has since joined Urban Works Ent, an actor agency.

Musical “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” is an adaptation of the popular novel of the same name. The musical won the grand prize at the 2013 Korean Musical Awards. The drama adaptation was also a huge hit, with the highest rating of 42%.
