Shinhwa Andy’s Broadcast Ban Reportedly Lifted by MBC

It has been reported that the broadcast ban by MBC that was previously placed on Shinhwa’s Andy is now lifted.

On February 17, a representative of MBC revealed to OBS, “The suspension of Andy’s broadcast appearance was cleared since last month on January 19. He is now able to appear on all programs that are aired through MBC.”

The rep continued to explain, “All celebrities that have been banned from appearing on broadcast can request for a cancellation of the ban before going through an evaluation for the final decision [on the ban].”

In November of 2013, Andy was involved in an illegal sports gambling scandal that resulted in the Shinhwa member being fined and summarily indicted. Following this incident, MBC placed a ban on him beginning in January of last year.

Meanwhile, Shinhwa will be appearing on MBC’s “Section TV” this coming February 22, through which they will be revealing behind-the-scenes footage from the set of their upcoming music video for the title song of the group’s 12^th full-length album.
