Yeon Jung Hoon and Yoo Jae Suk Go To Extreme Measures to Find an Ingredient on 'Running Man'

Actor Yeon Jung Hoon struggled with Yoo Jae Suk while climbing a mountain for an hour and a half in search of a Phellinus linteus, a special Korean mushroom used for medicinal purposes.

In the most recent episode of SBS’s “Running Man,” the crew visits skilled chefs for cooking advice and goes on a search for rare ingredients in preparation for the 2015 New Year’s Cooking Battle.

Yeon Jung Hoon, who has partnered up with Yoo Jae Suk, goes up and beyond in search for his ingredient as he tracks along a mountain path. Some of the camera men fail to continue the route as they suffer from hangover. Being the good soul he always is, Yoo Jae Suk pampers the staff, saying, “I told you not to drink the day before filming.”

The team finally reaches the Phellinus linteus habitat after an hour and a half of tracking.

Yeon Jung Hoon comments, “I did not plan for this type of filming. If I knew we were going through so much trouble, I would have worn my mountain gear. It’s like I’m reliving my most intense training moments from the army.”

“This is by far one of our hardest filmings,” Yoo Jae Suk comments. “Han Ga In  is probably crying at home right now at the fact her husband is going through so much hardship.”
