Skull & Haha’s Comeback Single Is a Remake of Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls”
The jacket image and teaser video for Skull & Haha’s upcoming single album “Beautiful Girl” have been revealed!
Designed by artist GRAFFLEX, who heads up the artwork for many of Amoeba Culture’s artists like Zion.T & Crush, the jacket image consists of a typographic design and geometric pattern featuring the colors red, green, and yellow, nodding at Skull & Haha’s longtime affinity for reggae.
“Beautiful Girl” is a remake of the 2007 international hit “Beautiful Girls” by Jamaican-American singer Sean Kingston. It has been reported that Sean Kingston personally approved the remake and even proposed doing a collaboration with the duo, dialing up the expectation for the upcoming single.
The original song, which is reggae-inspired and samples Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me,” has been reworked by Skull & Haha into a dance track. “Beautiful Girl” will feature Korean lyrics and the unique vocals of Kwon Jung Yeol of indie band 10cm.
The single and accompanying music video is slated for a March 13 release.
Are you looking forward to a Korean dance version of “Beautiful Girls?”
