Hwang Jung Eum Reveals the Two Most Difficult Times in Her Life

Actress Hwang Jung Eum revealed in a recent interview that she had two slumps in her life so far.

In an interview about her recently completed drama “Kill Me Heal Me,” the actress revealed her honest thoughts on her career. She said, “I had two slumps in my lifetime: working as Sugar and starring in ‘Golden Time.'”

“Being part of idol group Sugar was my first slump. The second was ‘Golden Time.’ Ultimately, those two made me who I am, but it was such a difficult time,” she confessed.

She continued, “I think people grow through suffering. So I still have a long way to go. Dramas are difficult. But I’m thankful when I think back on my time as Sugar.”

She also talked of her former group members. “I’m still sorry to them. They understood why it was so difficult for me. We all suffered. We are still on good terms and we’re talking to each other.”
