Spica's Jiwon Denies Speculations of Her Involvement in a Five-Car Drunk Driving Incident

Girl group Spica‘s member Jiwon has denied that she was involved in a five-car drunk driving accident that took place on March 21.

On March 21, Channel A News reported on a drunk driving accident that resulted in five cars crashing and 10 people injured. They reported that the drunk driver was driving an Audi with a female idol member in the passenger seat. Witnesses at the scene said that the female person who got out of the car was a member of a “famous idol group.” The police told the media that she refused to give her name at the scene. The driver of the car, Yang, refused to reveal her identity, only saying, “she is my girlfriend. Her name has the alphabet J.”

Reporting the news, Channel A used a blurred image of Spica’s Jiwon, which drew speculations that she was involved in the crash.

However, she has since taken to her Twitter to deny this claim. She said that she rode her bicycle that day, and eating dinner when her company contacted her about the news. She assured her fans that it was not her, despite the news channel using her image in the broadcast.
