EXID Announces Date for First Comeback Since Gaining Popularity

The “It” girl group EXID has announced its comeback date!

On April 1, the superstar girl group’s management company revealed that EXID will be making its comeback on April 13 with its second mini album. This is their first mini album since their first in August of 2012, “HIPPITY HOP.” It was relayed that EXID has finished filming their music video for the new mini album and is gearing up for their comeback.

This comeback is meaningful for EXID in order to prove that their unexpected success with “Up and Down” was not a fluke, and that they can maintain their popularity. This will truly be a test of their stardom.

EXID catapulted into stardom after a fancam of member Hani dancing to “Up and Down” went viral three months after their promotions for the song was over, even winning multiple music show programs. The opportunity allowed fellow member Solji to prove herself as a strong vocalist to watch for, readying the group for a long run of popularity.

The album’s title song was again written by Shinsadong Tiger, and the dance was choreographed by Yama & Hot Chicks, who also choreographed “Up and Down.”
