Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo Confirmed for New KBS Drama
It has been reported that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have confirmed their casting in the new KBS drama titled “The Descendant of the Sun.”
On April 2, the drama’s production company announced that the main cast will consist of Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, and Kim Ji Won.
“The Descendant of the Sun” will be Song Joong Ki’s very first production following his upcoming discharge from the military this coming May 26, as well as Song Hye Kyo’s return to the small screen in about two years since “That Winter, The Wind Blows.”
Fans have already begun to express their anticipation for the drama, as it will be a meeting of two top stars that have been recognized for their acting abilities in a variety of genres.
Furthermore, the scriptwriter, Kim Eun Sook, has previously earned high viewer ratings surpassing 20% through her last production, “The Heirs.”
The drama is expected to begin airing during the second half of the year on KBS.
